This is a piece that's actually hard to find flaws with. You had a very simple description - so you ran with it, and I think pulled off a good piece of work. The "Squidhat" is a nice touch (though looks a bit octopus-like), and also has a feel of possibly being her hair.
The inclusion of the shells and such works great to set the ocean feel.
Really a great piece of work. It reminds me of one of those fancy gift sculptures one may find in curio stores - consider that a compliment.
